NEPTUNE THREAD TENSION DEVICE
The Neptune Thread tensioner has no springs or parallel discs to put
pressure on the thread. Nor is the pressure put directly on the spool itself.
The pressure is applied (without springs, screws or weights) to the
rotating axis and this is what creates the thread tension. This tension is
adjustable, with approximately 4-oz. maximum. The entire assembly of the
thread spool, axle, and wing nut rotates around the base unit. The
neptune thread Tensioner shown here has a small thread spool mounted
on it, but it also will handle large thread spools. This
state-of-the-art thread tension device is superior in
performance compared to what is currently available.
This device will not abrade, tear, or cause fuzzies on
the foil on metallic thread. The device as shown, can
be mounted in any position by means of the screw at
the base of the device.
